Rates & Insurance

Clear information about session fees, insurance reimbursement, payment, and cancellation policies.

PER SESSION

$130–$150

A sliding-scale rate may be available for clients without insurance coverage.

Using Out-of-Network Benefits

Depending on your health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, services may be covered in full or in part. As your insurance is a contract between you and your carrier, we handle payment directly with you.

How it works: you pay the session fee at time of service and receive a receipt (superbill) to submit to your insurer, who reimburses you directly.

Questions to ask your insurance provider

Ask your provider directly, this varies by plan.
Your insurance provider can confirm your current deductible status.
Some plans cap annual session counts, check with your provider for your specific limit.
This depends on your plan, your provider can confirm whether a referral is required.

Payment

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

Cancellation Policy

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice when cancelling or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be charged the full session fee.

What clients say

Learn more about what our past clients say

I had been seeing Mrs. Julie for 4 years off and on and she is far best one of the best therapist around. She saved my life. I had lost my mother and she helped me with my grieving process. I was also in a toxic relationship that she helped me with. Mrs. Julie is the best and very experienced in what she does.

— Former Client

My partner and I got to work with Carmalyn Lashley who is AMAZING. I've been in therapy on and off for like a decade and a half now and she is absolutely the best I've ever had! So amazing that I changed my individual therapist to someone else since they weren't up to par to what she was doing with my partner and I in our sessions. My partner and I are still together a year later and sooo much stronger with all communication techniques she taught us, we use them literally everyday. My partner didn't even believe in therapy prior to our sessions either and now he swears by it! Thank you so much Carmalyn!!!!!!

The most popular questions to discuss mental health

Not at all. People who ask for help know when they need it and have the courage to reach out. Everyone needs help now and then. In our work together, I’ll help you explore and identify your strengths and how to implement them to reduce the influence of the problems you are facing.

The difference is between someone who can do something, and someone who has the training and experience to do that same thing professionally. A mental health professional can help you approach your situation in a new way– teach you new skills, gain different perspectives, listen to you without judgment or expectations, and help you listen to yourself. Furthermore, counseling is completely confidential. You won’t have to worry about others “knowing my business.” Lastly, if your situation provokes a great deal of negative emotion, and you’ve been confiding in a friend or family member, there is the risk that once you are feeling better you could start avoiding that person so you aren’t reminded of this difficult time in your life.

Medication can be effective but it alone cannot solve all issues. Sometimes medication is needed in conjunction with counseling. Our work together is designed to explore and unpack the problems you are experiencing and expand on your strengths that can help you accomplish your personal goals.

Because each person has different issues and goals for counseling, it will be different depending on the individual. I tailor my therapeutic approach to your specific needs.

Unfortunately, this is not possible to say in a general FAQs page. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time counseling can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling in the first place.

I am so glad you are dedicated to getting the most out of your sessions. Your active participation and dedication will be crucial to your success.
